Ile Des Chenes Minor Hockey Association

referees

IDCMHA looks forward to welcoming both new & returning referees each season; without them the game would not be possible.

Each official (new or returning)  must attend an officiating clinic each year in order to recertify for the upcoming season. Hockey Manitoba officiating clinics are offered annually between September and the end of November.  Clinic dates and times can be found on the Hockey Manitoba Website.

You do not need to attend the clinic hosted in IDC, you can attend whichever clinic works best with your availability.

Officials entering Level 1 must be 12 years of age or older by December 31, 2024.

Officials entering Level 2 must be 15 years of age or older by December 31, 2024

Note for New Officials:

First step is to complete the Hockey Canada Learning Lab course.

Next attend an in-person clinic and on-ice session, then complete the required exam. (open book)

Note: Officials who have attended and completed the online course are allowed to start officiating.  If you do not complete the MANDATORY in-person clinic by December 1, you will not be certified for the season.
